Iran animation ‘The Secret of Butterflies’ to vie at Golden Kuker Sofia filmfest

Iran animation ‘The Secret of Butterflies’ has been set to be screened at the 9th edition of The International animation Film Festival (IAFF) Golden Kuker Sofia in Bulgaria.

Directed and produced by Ali Tanhaee, ‘Secrets of Butterflies’ succeeded to attend the competition section of Bulgarian film event.

 “The main character of the story wishes to change to a beautiful butterfly. To achieve this goal he starts a journey in which he faces lots of ups and downs,” a short synopsis of the flick read.

‘Secret of Butterflies’ has so far succeeded to win Best Children Award and Best Director Award from the 2017 edition of  Isfahan International Festival of Films for Children and Young adults.

The International animation Film Festival (IAFF) Golden Kuker started its activity in October 2010 in Sofia and is the first festival of the art of animated films in Bulgaria since the new century. It is held every spring in May and is one of the most attractive cultural events in Bulgaria! The festival is a bridge between professionals from all over the world and succeeds in showing the best of Bulgarian and world animation, aiming to stimulate the creative expressions of animators from all over the world.

The 9th edition of the event is slated to be held on May 7-13, 2018 in Bulgaria’s capital city of Sofia.
